Casting & Early Interest
Apply to an
Installment
One application for every chapter of Framing the Moment. Tell us which installment you're applying for and which city you want to be framed in — and we'll show you exactly where that production stands before you fill in a single field.
There is an industry outside the two or three cities that get called “the industry.” It is working, not aspiring — actors booking national spots, directors carrying features, crews holding a stage together on a Thursday night. It just has no press covering it, no awards pointed at it, and almost no pictures of itself.
We exist to photograph that climb while it is happening. Not at the top, where somebody else will finally think to take the picture — but mid-ascent, in the years that actually decide whether a career happens. A career can turn on one image you were able to put in front of the right person. We make that image now, while it still changes something.
Installment by installment, city by city, it becomes a record of who was here and what they were building — before the rest of the country got around to noticing.

Where you are from — not where you live now.
Selected participants are featured on our Origins Map: the neighborhoods and zip codes that raised the talent in each city. Third Ward, Trinity Garden, Hiram Clarke, Glenbrook Valley. Talent is spread evenly across a city and opportunity is not, and the map is how we say so. Optional — and only ever published if you are selected and photographed, alongside your name, portrait and disciplines. See our privacy policy for exactly what appears.
The zip that best represents your upbringing — or the stretch of your life that shaped the work.
The name people who live there actually use.
Step Four
Your craft
Who you are in this industry. This is what we cast from.

Every installment is released socially. Knowing your platforms helps us plan the rollout — and tag you properly.

Optional, but the more you tell us now, the smoother your day on set is. You can also complete this later during onboarding.
